Job summary

WellSpan Health in Chambersburg, PA is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to protect patients, staff and visitors. You will patrol facilities, respond to emergencies, enforce safety protocols, and maintain incident reports.

Evening shifts and every other weekend/holiday are required. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, 2 years of WellSpan Security Officer experience or equivalent, Basic Life Support within 90 days, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years WellSpan Security Officer experience in good standing required or equivalent experience.
• Basic Life Support within 90 days required.
• Must possess a valid driver's license in the state of residence; driving record must meet WellSpan Risk Management standards.
• Security Officer trainings: FEMA IS-100.c, IS-200.c, IS-242.c; Practical handcuffing, OC gel, Taser, BERT required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Patrols buildings and premises to prevent fire, theft, vandalism, and intrusion.
• Patrols parking lots to ensure safety of individuals and vehicles.
• Reports all suspicious activity and incidents; responds to emergencies.
• Assists with investigations and maintains incident reports and documentation.
• Assists with daily shift operations, documentation, and post assignments; acts as Charge Officer when needed.
