Responsibilities

The Public Safety / Security Manager will assist the Director of Plant Operations by supervising and directing the operation of the Security Department. Responsibilities include providing day-to-day supervision of security staff, ensuring compliance with all requirements, regulations, and documentation, and securing the safety of patients, visitors, staff, building, and property. The manager will investigate and report on security incidents such as assaults, thefts, and property damage, assist staff with handling combative persons, and maintain communication with local law enforcement agencies.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Training:

1. High School diploma or equivalent required.
2. Two-year college degree preferred.
3. Minimum of two years experience in healthcare security supervision or related field.
4. PC 832 / Level 1 law enforcement training or higher.
5. Reserve Deputy / Police Officer experience, or experience with the Department of Corrections, Military Law Enforcement, or healthcare security management, may be substituted for formal experience.

Facility-specific requirements (may vary):

2. Current DMV H6 report or Driving History Report.
