Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Public Safety Officer to provide fire, safety, and security protection for coworkers, patients, and visitors. This role promotes fire and safety prevention and performs duties in alignment with Mercy's Mission, Values, and Service Standards.

Minimum requirements include a High School Diploma and being 18 years old or older, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain local, state, or federal Public Safety/Security licensure within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Licensure as Public Safety/Security as required within 90 days of hire.
• Completion of Basic 16-hour Public Safety/Security course within 180 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide fire, safety, and security protection for Mercy coworkers, patients, and visitors.
• Promote and practice fire and safety prevention.
• Perform duties in line with Mercy Mission, Values, and Service Standards.
