Job summary

Mercy seeks a security professional to protect coworkers, patients, and visitors, promoting fire and safety prevention while upholding Mercy Service Standards. Responsibilities include maintaining safety protocols and responding to security concerns on site at Mercy facilities.

The role requires a High School Diploma, a valid driver’s license, and licensure within 90 days; college degree is preferred. Training in Basic Public Safety/Security is provided to ensure readiness and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required and must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license and applicable public safety/security licensure within 90 days.
• Complete Basic 16hr Public Safety/Security course within 180 days of hire.

• Provide fire, safety, and security protection for Mercy coworkers, patients, and visitors.
• Promotes and practices fire and safety prevention.

Position Details

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma
• 18 years of age or older

Licensure:

• Valid State drivers license
• Valid local, state or federal Public Safety/Security licensure as required (within 90 days of hire)

Experience:

Certification/Registration: Complete Basic 16hr Public Safety/Security course within 180 days of hire (May be done as part of licensure) Federal, State, and Municipal licensure allowable timeframes will have precedence over internally established timeframes for IAHSS certification.

Other Skills And Knowledge:

• Ability to read and write the English language
