Job summary

Mercy Fort Smith is seeking a Full-Time Public Safety Officer to protect coworkers, patients, and visitors. You will promote fire and safety prevention and perform duties in alignment with Mercy's Mission, Values, and Service Standards.

The role requires a High School Diploma, 18+ years old, a valid driver's license and appropriate Public Safety/Security licensure within 90 days of hire, plus completion of the Basic 16-hour course within 90 days.

Thursday, Friday, Saturday 6:00pm- 6:30am

Education

Minimum Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• 18 years of age or older

Licensure

• Valid State drivers license
• Valid local, state or federal Public Safety/Security licensure as required (within 90 days of hire)

Certification/Registration

Complete Basic 16hr Public Safety/Security course within 90 days of hire (May be done as part of licensure) Officers in areas where there isn't a licensing body, Completed IAHSS Basic.

Other Skills And Knowledge

Ability to read and write the English language

Licensure

Valid local, state or federal Public Safety/Security licensure as required.

Experience

Preferred Experience :

Previous Security, Military or Law Enforcement experience
