Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis is seeking a dedicated security professional to provide fire, safety, and security protection for coworkers, patients, and visitors. The role emphasizes adherence to Mercy’s Mission, Values, and Service Standards while maintaining a safe environment.

Ideal candidates will possess a High School Diploma, be at least 18 years old, hold a valid driver’s license, and pursue licensure as required in the jurisdiction. Prior security/military experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Valid State driver’s license.
• Public Safety/Security licensure within 90 days of hire.
• Complete Basic 16hr Public Safety/Security course within 180 days of hire.
• Ability to read and write the English language.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma
• 18 years of age or older

Licensure

• Valid State drivers license
• If required within the jurisdiction of the community, valid local, state or federal Public Safety/Security licensure (within 90 days of hire).

Experience

Certification/Registration: Complete Basic 16hr Public Safety/Security course within 180 days of hire (May be done as part of licensure) Federal, State, and Municipal licensure allowable timeframes will have precedence over internally established timeframes for IAHSS certification.
