Job summary

Community First Medical Center is seeking a Safety and Security Officer to maintain a safe environment for employees, patients, and visitors and to protect hospital assets.

The role may include supervisory duties as Officer in Charge at the supervisor's discretion. The position is full time with a 7am to 3:30pm shift and on-call rotation. New graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 21 years old or older.
• Superior interpersonal skills.
• Team player.
• Behavioral Health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Makes rounds, inside and outside of assigned areas as scheduled.
• Provides assistance to other security personnel, hospital employees, and escorts visitors.
• Observes and documents the non-conformance of policies and procedures.
• Accurately completes all paperwork as required.
• Demonstrates discretion in handling confidential information.
• Responds to calls from nursing and other hospital departments in a timely manner.
• Transports patients in wheelchairs or those using assistive devices.
• Accepts and releases patient’s valuables and lost and found items as needed.
• Responds to requests for additional manpower to cover shift shortages.

The Safety and Security Officer perform activities necessary to the provision of a safe and secure environment for employees, patients, and visitors of the hospital and to protect the assets of Community First. At the discretion of the Supervisor, an Officer may also be assigned to perform supervisory duties as the Officer in Charge (O.I.C.).

This opportunity is full time: 7am - 3:30pm On Call: Rotation
