Job summary

Community First Medical Center is seeking a Safety and Security Officer to help provide a safe and secure environment for employees, patients, and visitors, and to protect hospital assets. The role may include duties as Officer in Charge at times, at the supervisor's discretion.

This full-time position runs from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with an on-call rotation. New grads are welcome, and the role offers opportunities to support adherence to hospital policies and collaborate with security and nursing

Qualifications

• Highly prefer experience in a healthcare environment.
• High School diploma or equivalent from an accredited program required
• Must be 21 years old+
• Superior interpersonal skills
• Team Player
• Behavioral Health experience preferred!!!

Responsibilities

• Makes rounds, inside and outside of assigned areas as scheduled.
• Provides assistance to other security personnel, hospital employees, and escorts visitors.
• Observes and documents the non-conformance of policies and procedures.
• Accurately completes all paperwork as required
• Demonstrates discretion in handling confidential information.
• Responds to calls from nursing and other hospital departments in a timely manner.
• Transports patients in wheelchairs or those using assistive devices.
• Accepts and releases patient’s valuables and lost and found items (per policy) as needed.
• Responds to requests for additional manpower to cover shift shortages.

Education
