Security Officer at Harrington Memorial Hospital

Provide security for the safety and protection of Harrington Memorial Hospital's patients, staff, general public, and properties. Responsibilities include patrolling buildings and grounds, examining doors, windows, and points of entry, recording security breaches, warning violators, and assisting law enforcement as needed.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Participate in hospital emergency programs and handle public safety issues effectively.
2. Interpret and understand written and oral instructions; cooperate with law enforcement.

Position Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Complete hospital orientation and annual re-certifications in CPR, fire safety, self-defense, and other mandated training.
• Three years of related experience in public safety preferred.

Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions:

Activities include standing, walking, sitting, talking, handling objects, and exposure to various environmental conditions such as fumes, chemicals, outdoor weather, and infectious diseases.
