Stetson University is seeking a Public Safety Officer for the Night Shift to perform patrols, enforce policy, and protect people and property on campus. The role involves responding to alarms, directing traffic at events, and assisting faculty, staff, and visitors with information and safety concerns.
Responsibilities include preparing reports, coordinating with local police and fire departments, and maintaining security procedures.
Under the general oversight of the assigned shift Sergeant, the Public Safety Officer performs routine policy enforcement and security work in the protection of people and in the safeguarding of university property. The Public Safety Officer secures assigned property against possible loss or damage and is charged with ensuring the safety of all individuals on campus. Work is reviewed through conferences and reports for compliance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines. The officer performs other work as requested.

Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record as determined by the University’s auto insurance carrier.
