Job summary

The Marin County Fire Department seeks a Technology Systems Specialist III to optimize and support critical public safety technologies across divisions, including Administration, OEM, and ECC. The role requires independent work in mission-critical environments and experience with desktop, network, and public safety systems.

On-site, Monday–Friday, you will work with mobile devices, dispatch and radio systems, and integrated software across teams, ensuring reliable tech for emergency response.

Qualifications

• Two years of college or technical training in computer science or a closely related field.
• Three years of experience in network or PC user support; substitutions allowed for education.
• Experience with public safety technologies in fire EMS or emergency management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support and optimize Desktop/enterprise tech across departments including OEM and ECC.
• Manage on-premises and cloud-based software/hardware systems for public safety.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to maintain operational protocols and training.
