Boulder County Sheriff's Office is seeking a Computing Specialist II to design, implement, and manage computer systems, mobile devices, and connectivity across office, jail, dispatch, and field operations. The role requires evaluating technology solutions, coordinating with County IT and vendors, and delivering reliable public‑safety technology.

New employees receive vacation and leave accruals; residency in Colorado is required by start date.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise computing environments, mobile computing, network connectivity, endpoint management, telecommunications, public-safety technology, or specialized law enforcement systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware, software, connectivity, and systems issues and independently research and implement technical solutions.

Responsabilités

• Analyzes technology needs across Sheriff’s Office operations and recommends hardware, software, connectivity, and mobile solutions.
• Installs, configures, maintains, and troubleshoots MDCs and related hardware and software.
• Develops and supports standardized computer images and configurations for Sheriff’s Office devices.
• Administers and supports mobile device management (MDM) systems and security policies.
• Supports connectivity platforms (NetMotion/Absolute, CradlePoint, FirstNet) and related networking.
