The Boulder County District Attorney’s Office is hiring a part-time Computing Specialist II to support desktop hardware and software, operating systems, and networking in the Boulder County office. This role focuses on analyzing IT needs, deploying software, and maintaining secure computing environments.

Responsibilities include user support, patch management, training, and collaboration with the IT department for upgrades, with a 20-hour workweek and exempt status under FLSA.

Competenze

• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, utilities and system tools/resources.
• Thorough knowledge of Office 365, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and hardware management.
• Thorough knowledge of supported hardware and software systems. Ability to troubleshoot and solve a variety of technical problems.

Mansioni

• Analyzes computer needs across the District Attorney’s Office and makes recommendations regarding hardware and software.
• Installs desktop hardware and software, including OS, applications, peripherals and networking equipment and updates existing systems.
• Provides technical information and support to users requesting assistance and researches related technology.
• Ensures system patching including security updates to maintain a secure computing environment.
• Provides routine training to employees regarding software or hardware usage.
• Configures, maintains, and inventories hardware resources.
• Reviews new software for compatibility with existing systems.
• Diagnoses and resolves software and hardware problems.
• Interfaces with IT Department for upgrades and implementations.
