Job summary

The City of Germantown is seeking an IT Project Coordinator for Public Safety to maintain mission-critical software and devices across Police and Fire environments. You will bridge field operations and IT, ensuring updates, training, and compliance are delivered efficiently.

Ideal candidates have an Associate's degree or higher in IT or a related field, plus 2–3 years of technical support in public safety. Prior experience with Tyler Technologies, Mojo, and related tools is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in IT, Criminal Justice, Fire Science, or related field; 2–3 years of tech support in Public Safety.
• Solid background in municipal application support, training delivery, or hands-on hardware/software troubleshooting.
• Experience with public safety IT environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform recurring visits to City fire stations and police offices to inspect and maintain workstations and MDTs.
• Coordinate manual Windows updates and security patches for field devices and applications.
• Develop and deliver role-based onboarding and ongoing training for Police and Fire personnel.
• Serve as communication link between field and IT administration; report field issues to guide support strategies.
• Triages and tracks public safety technology requests in the Mojo queue; troubleshoot issues to ensure uptime.
• Assist with procurement tasks for rugged field devices and gear; inventory field equipment in lifecycle databases.
• Create, update, and index Knowledge Base articles and SOPs for public safety users.
