Job summary

Stellar Professionals LLC is seeking a customer-focused IT Help Desk Specialist 1 to provide frontline IT and service administration support for Michigan's Public Safety Communications System (MPSCS). The role handles Tier 1 support, ticket management, incident diagnosis, and service request fulfillment for state employees and partner agencies.

The position is hybrid with onsite work two days a week starting Day 1.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years in Tier 1 IT Helpdesk.
• 2–3+ years service administration (logging tickets, SLAs).
• 2–3+ years diagnosing workstation hardware/software/network issues.
• Associate's Degree in IT-related discipline.
• Exceptional verbal/written communication; reside within 60 miles of Lansing, MI.

Responsibilities

• Tier 1 incident & service request management using Remedy.
• Troubleshooting hardware, software, OS, and network access issues.
• Maintain SLA metrics including ACW, schedule adherence, and SLA response times.
• Coordinate ticket resolution with vendors and internal IT teams.
• Participate in special IT technology initiatives as assigned.
