Job summary
City of Richmond, Virginia, seeks a GIS and Project Manager within the Technology Division of the Department of Emergency Communications, Preparedness and Response (DECPR). You will lead enterprise GIS administration, interface development, and data management for 911 operations and public safety systems.
The role requires advanced technical and project-management skills, coordinating with multiple agencies, vendors, and partners to design and implement reliable technology solutions, CAD/GIS
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, GIS, or related field.
- Five years of professional GIS, systems integration, or public safety technology experience.
- Experience managing medium-to-large technology projects in a multi-agency environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical, analytical, and project-management support for mission-critical public safety systems.
- Lead CAD, GIS, 911, and related interfaces and integrations.
- Develop and maintain interfaces between CAD, GIS, RMS, and third-party platforms.
- Coordinate testing, deployments, and vendor reviews for system enhancements.
- Support 24/7 mission-critical operations and after-hours on-call support.
