Job summary

Centre County Government is seeking a Dispatcher Trainee for Public Safety Telecommunication. The role supports data collection, offender monitoring, and coordination of punishment programs. The position is full-time, on-site, with standard office hours and potential travel as required. A bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related field is preferred, along with relevant law

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, law enforcement, social or behavioral science.
• Pass firearms and in-service training.
• 1–2 years' experience in law enforcement, preferably Probation/Parole.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver's license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in collection and preparation of fiscal and program data and reports.
• Assist in placement and monitoring of offenders under intermediate punishment.
• Supervise offenders in In-Home Detention/Electronic Monitoring and community corrections.
• Coordinate meetings with offices and agencies on punishment services.
• Assist in arrest and prosecution of offenders under supervision.
• Prepare and monitor intermediate punishment grants and data.
