Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field, or paralegal certification with investigative experience.
• 2-3 years of investigation-related work and related training in criminal justice or a related field preferred.
• Must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Interview and consult with clients and staff at multiple facilities; prepare reports and testify as needed.
• Prepare subpoenas and other legal papers; maintain confidentiality.
• Operate office equipment and coordinate with police, courts, and other agencies.
• Interview witnesses, conduct field investigations, and collect records; follow up on leads.
• Coordinate court appearances for incarcerated clients with the Sheriff; transport documents.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field

Paralegal certification and investigative experience

2-3 years working experience involving investigation work
