Job summary

Summit at Snoqualmie is seeking a Public Safety Dispatcher to serve as the central communication hub for the Public Safety Department. You will coordinate with departments, monitor radio and security systems, and dispatch personnel in real time. The role requires calmness under pressure and strong organizational skills.

Wage range is $21.00–$23.55/hour. This is a non-benefited role, with 401(k) discretionary match after 1,000 hours and sick time accrual.

Overview

Come be a critical part of safety on the mountain! The Public Safety Dispatcher plays a key role in facilitating clear communication and efficiency in the public safety department. This position serves as the central communication hub for the Public Safety Department and reports to the Public Supervisor as well as the Public Safety manager when needed. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at multitasking, and maintains professionalism and remains calm under pressure. This role will work closely with other departments to coordinate on a variety of issues. Come work and play at Seattle's home mountain, the Summit at Snoqualmie. Located an hour from Seattle, at the junction where the Pacific Crest Trail crosses Interstate 90. With summer activities ramping up with spectacular Mountain Biking trails and Scenic Lift Rides, there is a lot to do all year long.

Responsibilities

Job duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain up-to-date contact lists, emergency response plans, and department schedules.
  • Support administrative tasks such as shift documentation, equipment logs, and report compilation.

  • Monitor and respond to radio communications, emergency calls, and guest or employee concerns in real-time.
  • Dispatch security personnel to incidents, routine patrols, and service calls using radio and digital communication platforms.
  • Monitor surveillance cameras, fire alarm systems, and access control systems, reporting unusual activity.
  • Uphold confidentiality standards and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Contact external agencies when necessary to communicate hazards, request assistance, and coordinate a joint response.
Attitude is Everything
  • Act as the primary communication liaison between the security team and other resort departments, such as Parking, Transportation, Guest Services, and Mountain Operations.
  • Greet and assist walk-in visitors to the Security office with professionalism and discretion.
Serve First
  • Alert local law enforcement or emergency services as needed and relay key information to on-site responders.
  • Assist the Security Manager and Supervisors with communication-based projects and daily operational coordination.
Qualifications
Required

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic dispatch or incident tracking systems.
  • Must be comfortable working in both solo and team environments.
  • Must maintain confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism at all times.
Preferred
  • Familiarity with two-way radio protocol and dispatch operations preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred or ability to obtain within 60 days.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
Wage And Benefit Info

The wage range for this positions is: from $21.00 to $23.55/hr

  • This is a non-benefited role.
  • All individuals may contribute to the 401(k). An employee must work 1,000 hours in a calendar year to qualify for the discretionary match (there is a 2 year vesting cliff).
  • All individuals accrue sick time at 1 hour per 40 hours worked to a maximum of 64 hours per year.
  • All Team Members may participate in our Ally Heath benefit. It gives fast and easy access to Telemedicine and Mental Health appointments. It covers all family members and there are no copays or deductibles. It is a $4 deduction each week.
