Job summary

Boyne Resorts is seeking a Public Safety Officer at Summit at Snoqualmie to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff. You will patrol, respond to incidents, document reports, and support resort operations with a guest-first approach.

Requirements include 21+, valid license, English fluency, strong decision making, and the ability to work varied shifts. This role includes wage range and benefits as outlined.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Able to make sound decisions quickly in high-stress situations.
  • Fluent in English with strong written/verbal communication.
  • Ability to write accurate, professional reports.
  • Able to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Weekend/holiday/nigh shifts required.
  • Must pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain visibility to enhance guest safety and deter misconduct.
  • Complete and maintain daily reports and logs for planning.
  • Patrol resort property by vehicle and on foot for security.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, thefts, and property damage.
  • Deter theft, ticket fraud, unauthorized access and other violations.
  • Operate security radios, vehicles, and surveillance equipment safely.
  • Respond to alarms and emergencies calmly and professionally.
  • Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency responders.
  • Provide courteous guest service while supporting operations.

The public safety officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all resort guests, employees, and property. Through proactive patrols, incident response, and guest engagement, this position plays a vital role in promoting a positive and safe resort experience. Public Safety Officers are often among the first responders to emergencies and are key representatives of the resort’s commitment to safety, service, and professionalism.

Come work and play at Seattle's home mountain, the Summit at Snoqualmie. Located an hour from Seattle, at the junction where the Pacific Crest Trail crosses Interstate 90. With summer activities ramping up with spectacular Mountain Biking trails and Scenic Lift Rides, there is a lot to do all year long.

Responsibilities

Job duties may include, but are not limited to:

Long Term Thinking
  • Maintain visibility throughout the resort to enhance guest perception of safety and deter inappropriate behavior.
  • Complete and maintain daily reports and logs to assist with department planning and allocation of resources.
Excellence in Execution
  • Conduct vehicle and foot patrols of resort property to monitor for suspicious activity, safety hazards, and policy violations.
  • Investigate and document accidents, incidents, injuries, thefts, property damage, and other security-related matters.
  • Support deterrence of theft, ticket fraud, unauthorized access, and other violations.
  • Operate security vehicles, radios, surveillance systems, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
Attitude is Everything
  • Respond to alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations in a calm and professional manner.
  • Act as a liaison with local law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency responders when needed.
  • Deliver excellent guest service while supporting resort-wide operations and special events.
Serve First
  • Provide courteous assistance to guests and employees, resolving problems and helping enforce resort policies.
Qualifications

What we are looking for:

Required
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft office.
  • Must be able to make sound decisions quickly and effectively in high-stress or emergency situations.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to write accurate and professional reports.
  • Ability to maintain composure in emotionally charged or sensitive situations involving guests or staff.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts, including nights.
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
Preferred
  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, guest service, or a related field preferred.

Wage and Benefit Info:

The wage range for this positions is: from $21.00 to $24.10/hr

This is a non-benefited role.

  • All individuals may contribute to the 401(k). An employee must work 1,000 hours in a calendar year to qualify for the discretionary match (there is a 2 year vesting cliff).
  • All individuals accrue sick time at 1 hour per 40 hours worked to a maximum of 64 hours per year.
  • All Team Members may participate in our Ally Heath benefit. It gives fast and easy access to Telemedicine and Mental Health appointments. It covers all family members and there are no copays or deductibles. It is a $4 deduction each week.
