Job summary

The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) is hiring a Police Communications Technician for the Public Safety unit. On-site position, salary $50,700–$58,059 per year.

You will receive and prioritize calls, dispatch police, fire, and other services, and maintain sensitive records in a high-stakes, 24/7 environment. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, plus required certifications (NCIC/CCIC, CBI, FEMA IS-100/200/IS-700, Notary Public) and experience with CJIS and CAD

Qualifications

• Answer and process all incoming emergency and non-emergency calls; interview callers to gather essential information and determine response level.
• Dispatch appropriate services using a CAD system and monitor radio channels in real time.
• Maintain accurate and secure records and coordinate with other agencies and university departments.
