Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required (GED).
• Minimum 5 years’ security or dispatcher experience preferred.
• Must obtain NYC Fire Department Certificate of Fitness (F-01) within 6 months of employment.
• Must obtain American Heart Association First Aid certification within 90 days of employment.
• Possess and maintain a valid Driver License.

Responsibilities

• Receive, prioritize, and document emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Dispatch officers and first responders using two-way radio and CAD.
• Monitor campus CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
• Maintain records of calls, incidents, and responses.
• Provide information and assistance to campus community in a calm, professional manner.
• Support training for new dispatchers and student employees.
