Job Title: Public Safety Dispatcher - 18+ - $15/hr at Six Flags St. Louis

Join our team at the Six Flags St. Louis Department of Public Safety as a Public Safety Dispatcher. This role involves receiving emergency calls, extracting vital information, dispatching appropriate personnel, and recording activities in a CAD system.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Answer incoming calls and gather essential information related to security, safety, and EMS needs.
2. Dispatch personnel based on unit locations and call types.
3. Monitor radio traffic across multiple channels and record relevant information into the CAD system.
4. Oversee fire and security alarm systems and surveillance cameras.
5. Communicate with outside emergency response agencies as necessary.
6. Perform additional duties as assigned by Public Safety Leadership.

Skills and Qualifications

• Excellent oral communication skills, with clear and distinct speech.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently simultaneously.
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
• Ability to remain calm under stress.
• Proficient in computer use, including Office 365, with efficient typing skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Preferred: Experience as a park employee at Six Flags St. Louis and/or as a public safety dispatcher.
