San Bernardino City Unified School District seeks a skilled School Police Dispatcher to handle radio dispatch, alarm monitoring, and clerical tasks on a rotating 12-hour shift.
Responsibilities include unit dispatch via radio, contact with field personnel, and data entry using teletype and computer systems. Requires at least one year of dispatch experience and a high school diploma, plus First Aid/CPR certifications.
Provides a wide variety of School Police communications services involving radio and other means of communication, intrusion alarm systems, fire alarms, teletype, dispatching personnel, and clerical duties on a rotating work shift.
Receives supervision from a Public Safety Communication Supervisor, or designee.
Exercises no supervision.

One year of public safety dispatch experience.

High school graduation or the equivalent.

This is a non-exempt position, Regular Classified Salary Range 37. Positions in this classification work 12 hour rotating shifts on a 12-month basis. The probationary period for employees in this classification is 248 paid work days.
