Job summary

The Telecommunications Systems Technician II position with the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services is a permanent full-time role based in-office. The TST II responds to public safety communications issues for state agency clients, coordinating with the shop lead and using FCC rules, training, and test equipment to resolve problems.

A valid CDL, FCC license or equivalent, and background/medical clearances are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements reference
• FCC General Radiotelephone Operator’s License or equivalent
• Background Investigation required
• Medical Clearance required
• CDL license and DMV Pull Program requirements

Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve public safety communications problems for State Agency clients
• Interface with customers and co-workers to resolve issues
• Operate with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel)
• Travel to remote locations, high elevations, and inclement weather as needed
