Responsibilities

Maintain continuous radio contact with police and security officers and update CAD; dispatch for intrusion, trespass, alarms, and emergencies.
Interpret and code data for transmission; transmit radio messages and dispatch personnel and equipment.
Relay information to emergency sites, departments, and authorities as needed.
Calm distressed citizens on the phone; evaluate and prioritize information to deploy units.
Notify maintenance and other departments for needed support services per procedures.
Monitor alarm systems, security radios, and district-wide communications.
Provide 24-hour answering service for the district.
Run criminal checks for officer safety through TCIC/NCIC when required.
