  • Bachelor degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or closely related field.
  • 3–5 years of full-time professional public relations or media-relations experience.
  • Mastery of AP Style and ability to produce polished written and visual communications.
  • Experience with formal approval, review, and release controls.

Responsibilities

  • Develop draft communications plans, media materials, digital content, graphics, and outreach products for Government review and approval.
  • Implement approved communication plans for rotating exhibits, lectures, and community events.
  • Maintain media-contact information and draft press releases, media kits, and interview-preparation materials.
  • Draft content for websites, blogs, social channels, and digital campaigns; publish only when authorized.
  • Coordinate with Public Affairs personnel, incorporate feedback, and preserve approval records.
