Job summary

SPS Commerce is seeking a Head of External Communications to own the day-to-day PR and analyst relations programs. You will guide media outreach, manage agency partners, and mentor senior communicators while aligning with executive priorities.

Reporting to Brand Marketing, you’ll translate complex supply chain topics into compelling narratives, build relationships with reporters and analysts, and drive impactful external communications at a global scale.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in PR, AR, or corporate communications, ideally B2B tech.
• Proven earned media coverage in trade/business/tech press.
• Experience with analysts (Gartner, Forrester, IDC) and briefings.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day PR program with agency, media strategy, briefs.
• Co-manage analyst relations, briefings, and research inputs.
• Serve as primary contact for reporters and press drafts.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Legal, and exec stakeholders.
• Lead external agency relationships and budget oversight.
• Track PR/AR metrics and provide insights to leadership.
• Coach Sr. Social Media Manager and Influencer Marketing Manager.
• Develop holding statements and response plans with Legal.
