Job summary

SPS Commerce, a cloud-based supply chain leader, seeks a Head of External Communications to lead PR and analyst relations. You will shape storytelling for executives, manage media inquiries, and coordinate with analysts and internal partners to protect and advance SPS’s reputation.

You will coach a Sr. Social Media Manager and Influencer Marketing Manager, guiding agency work and driving data-driven performance across earned media channels.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years in public relations, analyst relations, or corporate communications.
• Proven ability to secure earned media in trade, business, or tech press.
• Experience influencing senior executives and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day PR program, media strategy, pitching, and executive visibility with agency support.
• Co-manage relationships with Gartner, Forrester, IDC; attend briefings and synthesize inputs.
• Serve as primary contact for reporters; review press materials and talking points.
• Coordinate with Marketing, IR, Legal, and product to maintain a consistent narrative.
• Lead external agencies; manage budgets and monitor deliverables.
• Track metrics and generate insights to refine program strategy.
• Coach and develop junior team members; align social media/UGC with goals.
• Prepare holding statements, FAQs, and response plans with senior leaders.
