Job summary

Adams County Colorado is seeking a Purchasing Contract Coordinator to manage development, review, and execution of purchasing contracts across construction, professional services, software, and inter-governmental agreements. The role requires independent judgement, strong negotiation skills, and compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including grant requirements.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of progressive purchasing and contracting experience, three (3) years in governmental or project coordination setting.
• Paralegal/legal experience is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in purchasing, accounting, public administration or related field; substitutions allowed per policy.

Responsibilities

• Ensures contracting process complies with policy and laws, including grant requirements.
• Gathers documentation, drafts contracts, tracks execution, and obtains approvals/signatures.
• Creates contracts/Amendments, maintains records, and handles related correspondence.
• Participates in negotiations and advises departments on contract terms.
• Maintains contract templates and coordinates with County Attorney's Office.
