Job summary

NV5, a provider of engineering and consulting services, seeks a Community Construction Liaison in New York to connect project teams with the public. You will attend community and stakeholder meetings, share updates on plans and progress, and respond to inquiries while maintaining open channels for feedback.

You'll build positive relationships with government agencies and community groups, manage newsletters and notices, and support outreach activities.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in community relations, public outreach, stakeholder engagement, or a related field.
• Experience interfacing with the public, community groups, government agencies, or project stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and professional correspondence.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships and address concerns diplomatically.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally to attend community meetings and project-related events.

Responsibilities

• Attend community and stakeholder meetings.
• Provide updates on project plans, schedules, and construction progress.
• Respond to public inquiries and coordinate resolutions to questions and complaints.
• Maintain stakeholder and mailing lists.
• Prepare and distribute newsletters, notices, and press releases.
