Job summary

The Charlotte Mecklenburg Library in Charlotte, NC seeks a Library Program Coordinator – Social Services to lead community-facing programs within Social Services, collaborate with partners, and guide service delivery across multiple locations.

The role requires strong communication, project management, and budget oversight, with a rotating schedule including evenings and weekends. Salary ranges from $54,361 to $81,542; pay is exempt and based on education, skills and internal equity.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of demonstrated experience managing complex programs with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience managing nonprofit and/or grant budgets.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on public speaking.
• Experience with technology including basic software, social media, and public presentation tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure the success of the program on a day-to-day basis.
• Set milestones and drive the program toward metrics of success.
• Serve as the program’s primary community interface with partners.
• Schedule and coordinate public engagements, events, and programs.
• Build coalitions and trust within communities served.
• Identify potential project partners and build relationships with partners and community groups.
• Oversee program budget to ensure fiscal responsibility.
• Produce interim and final reports and program evaluations.
