MassDOT in Boston seeks a Public Involvement Co-op Spring 2027 to assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing public involvement for transportation projects. You will support accessibility, stakeholder coordination, and recordkeeping while partnering with MassDOT teams and external partners.

The role offers exposure to public engagement strategies, project management, and collaboration with municipalities, officials, and the public.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Interest in public engagement, transportation, community outreach, or government service.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams) and survey tools.

Responsabilités

• Support planning and coordination of public involvement activities for transportation projects.
• Assist with virtual and in-person Public Information Meetings and public hearings.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, presenters, and stakeholders to ensure meetings are organized and accessible.
• Develop public outreach plans and prepare materials for PIMs and outreach activities.
• Maintain records, track comments, and support post-meeting follow-up.
