Job summary

MassDOT is seeking an Engagement Team Co-op for Spring 2027 to support engagement programs for 4,000+ employees. The role emphasizes continuous improvement and collaboration with HR data analytics, communications, talent acquisition, and Learning & Development teams.

The co-op will assist with onboarding, mentorship, performance management, recognition initiatives, and event planning, while gathering feedback to inform program development and drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a hybrid work environment with flexibility.
• Willingness and ability to travel to MassDOT locations statewide.
• Experience or interest in human resources, events, or transportation fields a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support organization-wide engagement programs for 4,000+ employees.
• Assist in developing onboarding, mentorship, performance management, and recognition initiatives.
• Help plan events and facilitate workshops, focus groups, and ideation sessions.
• Document procedures and develop SOPs for engagement programs.
