Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field with at least 2 years of engineering or project management experience; an Associate’s Degree with at least 4 years of experience.
• Valid driver's license with good driving history; EI certification or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with GIS software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying and prioritizing capital improvement projects; help develop project scopes and consultant selection.
• Lead or participate in pre-construction meetings to review specifications and coordinate with consultants and contractors.
• Prepare bid documents and support bid processes; assist in contract administration and project advertising.
• Support presentation of project contracts to the Town Council for approval.
• Review plans and estimates for public infrastructure improvements; ensure compliance with standards and ordinances.
• Perform technical reviews of construction work and monitor project budgets and progress.
