The ideal candidate will hold a degree in engineering or construction management, possess strong expertise in project planning and software tools like Auto CAD, and will engage in daily project coordination and material procurement. Qualifications
4 year engineering degree, construction management degree, or 5 years equivalent experience.
General knowledge of computer software such as Auto CAD, MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows, Primavera Project Planner, COINS, etc.
Experience with project planning, scheduling, and estimating.
Ability to prepare subcontractor scopes of work.
Familiarity with pricing, purchasing, and preparation of purchase orders for materials and equipment.
Ability to read and understand drawings.
Responsibilities
Understand, support, and adhere to safety requirements.
Plan work and purchase materials with safety in mind.
Assist Project Manager with daily project duties.
Expedite material procurement, approval, and delivery.
Prepare and track all necessary submittals.
Obtain required material certifications.
Assist with material billing preparations.
Order necessary materials and supplies.
Maintain project files, current drawings, and production records.
Prepare documentation for change orders.
Assist in the analysis of cost for extra work.
Coordinate project including subcontractors.
Optimize cash flow.
Build and maintain positive subcontractor relationships.
Recover fair compensation for changes in scope.
