Job summary

The City of Saratoga Springs is seeking Public Improvements Inspector I or II for full-time work in the Public Works Department. You will inspect City capital projects and related infrastructure, coordinate with engineers and contractors, and participate in a Friday coverage schedule as needed.

Responsibilities include documenting work, reviewing safety and traffic control, and ensuring compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; two years of related construction/engineering experience for Inspector I.
• Associate's degree with four years of related experience for Inspector II; equivalent combination allowed.

Responsibilities

• Inspect projects for compliance with plans, specs, codes and regulations.
• Maintain daily reports, as-builts and logs; document all items of work for payments.
• Ensure proper construction methods and site erosion control measures.
