Job summary

The City of Saratoga Springs is seeking a Maintenance Worker III or IV – Parks for a full-time position (about 40 hours/week) in the Public Works Department. The role performs landscape and park maintenance across city parks, streetscapes, facilities and property, and serves as an on-call responder for after-hours emergencies and snow plowing.

The IV level adds front-line supervision of Seasonal Maintenance Workers, schedules and monitors tasks, while both levels require knowledge of turf

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 4 years' experience in parks maintenance, landscaping, or related field for Maintenance Worker III.
• 4–6 years' experience for Maintenance Worker IV.
• Valid Utah CDL Class A with Tanker endorsement or ability to obtain within 6 months (special qualifications).

Responsibilities

• Perform turf management, mowing, edging, aerating, fertilizing, and Sod replacement.
• Inspect parks, playgrounds, facilities for maintenance needs.
• Repair and maintain equipment, vehicles, and tools; install/repair irrigation systems.
• Assist in snow removal and winter maintenance; on-call after hours.
