Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is offering an on-the-job training opportunity in the Employee Relations area within the Human Resource Office for General Government. The trainee will learn to support workplace concerns, investigations, and fair processes across multiple agencies.

The role includes case reviews, information gathering, and assistance with appeals and local agreements. Telework is available part-time, and a standard 8:00 AM–4:00 PM schedule applies, with a PA residency requirement

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree, including 15 credits in public administration, business administration, or a closely related field.
Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credit.

Responsibilities

Provide training and guidance on supporting workplace concerns and fair processes.
Assist with investigations, reviews, and responses to workplace matters.
Perform case review to support consistent responses to grievances.
Gather information needed for investigations and analyses.
Assist agency attorneys with Civil Service appeals, HR Commission complaints, and EEOC complaints.
