Job summary

Monmouth University is inviting applications for Adjunct Professors of Public History in the History and Anthropology department. Positions involve teaching 3–6 credits per semester, holding weekly office hours, and using the D2L LMS.

All applications must be submitted via the university career portal with required documents. In-person, on-campus teaching at West Long Branch is required. Screening begins when openings arise.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in History or Public History with related experience (museum/archive/interpretation).
• Ability to teach introductory and MA-level Public History topics.
• Experience with the LMS D2L for course delivery and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Teach 3–6 credits per semester.
• Maintain office hours (minimum 1 hour per week per 3 credits).
• Develop and deliver lectures, discussions and assignments aligned with curriculum.
