Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking an Audiovisual Technician to operate and maintain multimedia systems for public hearings and meetings in Austin, TX. You will manage recording, streaming, and distribution of video and audio content across conference spaces.

The role requires hands-on experience with AV equipment, software-control systems, and the ability to coordinate with staff for optimal sound and visual quality.

Qualifications

• Valid Class C Texas Driver's License.
• Two years’ experience operating conference technology with a State of Texas Agency or private event production company.
• Graduation from an accredited college/university with focus on broadcast, audio engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Operate large-scale audiovisual and webcasting systems in meeting rooms and conference spaces.
• Record, edit, and mix audio/video for public hearings and webcasts.
• Produce, direct, and edit video projects using cameras and editing software.
• Maintain audiovisual media libraries and manage equipment inventory and setups.
• Support telework-enabled operations and assist in disaster COOP as needed.
