This is a full-time contract, Tue-Sat 9:00 am–5:30 pm CST, with occasional additional time for events. Ideal candidates will have AV experience in public venues and theater environments.

Responsibilities

• Complete opening, operational, and closing checks for assigned AV systems and spaces.
• Operate and support theater presentation systems, projection, video switching, audio, playback, and control interfaces.
• Monitor exhibit and public-facing media systems and respond to audio, video, touchscreen, computer, or connectivity issues.
• Support conference rooms, classrooms, back-of-house spaces, and event areas.
• Prepare equipment and rooms for meetings and events, including setup, testing, operation, breakdown, and storage.
• Provide presenter support for PowerPoint, laptops, adapters, embedded media, microphones, confidence displays, and source changes.
• Troubleshoot incidents from source to destination and restore service within the role’s authority.

Job description

Audio Visual Engineer Bravotech a leader in IT staffing and staff augmentation services, seeks an immediate contract Audio Visual Engineer. Looking for an AV Support Engineer, to support delivery of high-quality audiovisual experiences across their campus, with a large focus on their theater. This position ensures the seamless operation of AV systems for daily activities, special events, and cultural programming. This is an onsite position working 9:00 am - 5:30 pm Tuesday to Saturday with some additional time for special events.

Job Responsibilities

• Complete opening, operational, and closing checks for assigned AV systems and spaces.
• Operate and support theater presentation systems, projection, video switching, audio, playback, and control interfaces.
• Monitor exhibit and public-facing media systems and respond promptly to audio, video, touchscreen, computer, or connectivity issues.
• Support conference rooms, classrooms, back-of-house preparation spaces, and event areas.
• Prepare equipment and rooms for meetings and events, including setup, testing, operation, breakdown, and secure storage.
• Provide presenter support for PowerPoint, laptops, adapters, embedded media, microphones, confidence displays, and source changes.
• Perform routine equipment inspections, basic preventive maintenance, cable checks, firmware/software coordination, and approved updates.
• Troubleshoot incidents from source to destination and restore service within the role’s authority and skill level.
• Escalate unresolved incidents with clear notes, device identification, symptoms, testing completed, and operational impact.
• Maintain accurate daily logs, incident notes, equipment records, room checklists, and handoff information.
• Provide basic user coaching and create or update simple operating instructions when requested.
• Coordinate professionally with Cultural Center staff, Integrated Services AV, IT, facilities, event teams, and approved vendors.

Job Qualifications

At least two years of hands-on AV, live event, theater, museum, hospitality, conference-center, broadcast, or similar technical support experience. Experience supporting public-facing environments where system uptime and guest experience are important.

Professional and Physical Expectations Professional appearance and conduct appropriate for a cultural, visitor-facing environment. Reliable attendance, punctuality, and the ability to remain on site throughout assigned coverage. Ability to prioritize competing requests and maintain composure during time-sensitive live events. Ability to communicate clearly in person, by phone, through email or Teams, and in written service documentation. Ability to move and connect typical portable AV equipment, manage cables, work at equipment racks, and remain standing or walking during event support. The vendor shall identify any role‑specific physical requirements and administer them in accordance with applicable law and requirements. Respect for client and guests. Ideal candidate will live in Texas for commute: locations: Sherman, Tx/Denison, Tx/ Tom Bean, Tx/ Anna, Tx/Melissa, Tx, McKinney or Frisco, Texas. Position will require working 5 days onsite.
