Job summary

Training Leadership Consulting in Houston, TX seeks a full-time Health Education Specialist to design and deliver comprehensive wellness programs for city employees and dependents. You will present health education, apply behavior-change methods, and collaborate with EWAC and Wellness Ambassadors.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Behavioral Science or Public Health; CHES preferred. Travel up to 25% and bilingual English/Spanish are a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Education, Behavioral Science or Public Health.
• No experience is required; related experience may substitute education.
• Master's degree preferred—minimum 1-year related experience.

Responsibilities

• Outline calendar of events targeting health risks for each work shift.
• Deliver health education programs and seminars for staff, dependents, and retirees.
• Collaborate with Wellness Ambassadors and stakeholders to disseminate wellness information.
• Lead wellness programs to improve health status and reduce costs.
