Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Wellness Coordinator to implement health promotion and disease prevention programs for a diverse population through individual and group instruction. The role conducts metabolic, fitness, and biometric assessments and coordinates services for Employee and Corporate Wellness.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, one year of wellness experience, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Promotion, Health Science, Public Health, Nutrition, Exercise Science, or related field.
• One year of Wellness/Health Promotion experience; internship rotation acceptable.
• BLS certification (AHA) required.

Responsibilities

• Implement health promotion and disease prevention programs for a diverse population through individual and group instruction.
• Conduct health assessments and screenings including metabolic, body composition, blood pressure, and HbA1c via finger sticks.
• Coordinate services, staff, equipment and supplies for Employee and Corporate Wellness Services.
