Job summary

Waukesha County's Department of Health & Health Services is recruiting for an LTE Public Health Technician. The candidate will provide direct customer service in-person and by phone, complete intake services for WIC families, and conduct height/weight measurements and capillary testing with on-the-job training.

Data entry, reporting, and inventory management of supplies are part of the role, along with maintaining records and calibration of screening equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of a health-related post-secondary course is preferred.
• Experience in a health-related field is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct customer service in-person and by phone.
• Complete intake services for WIC families.
• Perform age-appropriate height and weight measurements.
• Conduct capillary testing for hemoglobin and lead screenings.
• Perform data entry and reporting using computer systems.
• Maintain supplies for screenings and programs.
• Maintain records and complete documentation.
• Assist in equipment setup, maintenance, and calibration.
