Job summary

Waukesha County is seeking a health screening assistant to provide direct customer service in-person and by phone, complete intake for WIC families, and perform age-appropriate measurements. The role includes capillary testing, data entry, and maintaining supplies and records.

Training is provided for measurements and screenings; candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work with PPE in a clinic setting. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of one approved post-secondary course in a health-related field OR one year of health-related field experience; bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct customer service in-person and by phone.
• Complete intake services for WIC families per policies and procedures.
• Perform height/weight measurements; on-the-job training provided.
• Conduct capillary testing for hemoglobin and lead screenings; on-the-job training provided.
• Data entry, data searches, reporting, and other computer system functions.
