Job summary

DC Health is seeking a Safety Officer to implement an integrated program of safety and risk control for the agency, primarily through investigations, loss analysis, and compliance monitoring. You will serve as the agency's Safety Officer and coordinate risk management activities across property, casualty, and workers' compensation exposures.

The role includes leading risk programs, investigating EEO and sexual harassment matters, coordinating ADA accommodations, and supporting claim processes

Qualifications

• Specialized experience in risk management, safety programs, and related regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk management initiatives and loss control for the agency.
• Serve as liaison with law enforcement and ORM to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate and complete Sexual Harassment Officer investigations and EEO-related claims.
• Oversee ADA reasonable accommodation requests and interactive process adherence.
• Prepare intake materials, secure medical information, and support return-to-work processes.
• Track workers' compensation and light-duty arrangements; assist with claims coordination.
