Austin Public Health is seeking a Public Health Program Coordinator to oversee the Fast-Track Cities initiative and related HIV prevention efforts. The role includes organizing chair and workgroup meetings, drafting agendas, and guiding program goals and work plans within the Austin Public Health framework.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree with four years in public health programming and experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, plus four years of experience in public health/human services programming, public health/human services planning, or public health/human services program management.
• Related experience may substitute for education up to a maximum substitution of four years.
• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university may substitute for one year of the required work experience.

Responsabilités

• Plans goals and objectives for assigned programs.
• Develops policies and procedures.
• Evaluates programs for compliance with federal, state, local, and departmental regulations.
• Develops and conducts orientation and training sessions for program staff.
• Assists in budget preparation.
• Promotes assigned programs through relevant media.
• Investigates client or community complaints.
• Handles personnel issues.
• Performs other tasks as required.
