City of Amarillo is seeking a Public Health professional to perform STD/HIV case management, contact tracing, and data reporting. The role includes fieldwork, client education, and confidential handling of health information in a grant-funded program.

Under supervision of the STD/HIV Program Manager, this position requires a high school diploma and at least six months of case management experience, plus a Texas driver’s license and willingness to travel for training and site visits.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 months of case management experience.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License with reliable transportation and proof of insurance.
• Other language speaking preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with the implementation activities of the program work plan.
• Coordinate contact investigation/tracing of reported conditions.
• Assist in the assimilation and reporting of data.
• Assist in the development of policies and procedures for program work plan.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Complete timely documentation in all appropriate record systems and research reports as required by the city, county, state and other applicable agencies.
• Process, package and ship blood/urine specimens for needed tests.
• Perform STD/HIV client/partner follow ups, treatment, and case management.
• Communicate effectively and respectfully.
• Conduct fieldwork and outreach activities to interact with and test clients.
• Educate clients and families on appropriate skills and knowledge.
• Assist with inventory as needed.
• Account for and manage city issued property.
• Participate in public health emergency preparedness responses.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
