Job summary

The State of Vermont’s Department of Health seeks an experienced Public Health Program Manager to lead and oversee programs supporting substance use treatment initiatives. You will focus on program development, compliance, and grant management to ensure high-quality services for Vermonters, coordinating with multiple stakeholders across agencies.

The role requires strong organization, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work across field offices; some travel for site visits is expected.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field and 1+ year of programmatic public health work with leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of programmatic public health work with leadership experience.
• Two years+ of Public Health Specialist II experience.
• One year+ of Public Health Specialist III experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee substance use treatment program activities.
• Coordinate with community partners, service providers, and government agencies to strengthen service systems.
• Ensure compliance with grant requirements and program performance expectations.
